I turn 39 tomorrow. That amazes me.

During my coming out starting in 1990, I knew of many many gay men dying of AIDS.

At the time, I made peace with the probability that I wouldn't live a "full" lifespan. Probably dead before age 30.

But here I am 38 today, turning 39 tomorrow. 1/2 through a projected lifespan for me.

Color me happily surprised...
