The bus incident wasn't relayed as an attempt to garner pity.

The bus runs from the parking garage to the main hospital campus. Its a short bus. *smirk*

Anyway, it was just odd that the people that past me looked right at me and then the empty seat. I kinda took it personal. Maybe I shouldn't have. *shrug*

That's the feeling I tried to express last night.

i ride busses all the time because i don't drive. there's a certain unspoken etiquette ... a lot of which has to do with personal preference.

given my choice, i don't like to sit next to anyone. i like (and need >g<) to spread out. i don't even like to sit next to someone i think is way hot because then i can't really check him out without looking like a total doofus.

if i have to sit next to anyone then it's going to be the smallest, most inocuous person there (mostly because these people afford me the ability to be more comfortable).

I don't hate riding the bus, but it's a mild annoyance for me. Once I whined to a friend about it, and he looked me in the eye and said, Whatever, Rosa. which was his way of putting my bus complaints in perspective.

I think people are just kind of warry about sitting next to strangers. Truth be told, you look pretty butch, which could intimidate some people.

If on the off chance you ride it again, and find a cute bear cub, sit down right next to him.
