Holy shit.
That's why I'm not looking to do ER work. I don't think I could handle it. (O.k. mine would Pet ER, but trauma is trauma).

I am glad there are folks like you out there who can and do do this stuff.

You are thanked and much needed.

Oy! *hug*

No matter how stressful my day may be, I don't think it would ever compare to your job. I could never deal with what you have to go through on a normal day at work, its very impressive.

...wish I could just hold you and let your rest in my arms.

--Maybe interrupt you once in a while with a lick of the nips.

but i'm glad you can. thank the universe someone's there to pick up the pieces.

lordy. it was hard enough when i was a baby EMT doing ambulance work (ugh .. ) it was too tough for me to get away from the negative and think about the whole "this is saving lives" thing.

all i could focus on was how senseless people can be to each other, and some of the dumb shit we do without thinking.

Two things: Why aren't you a doctor?

and

Do you really like this work, or is there something else you'd like to do - in other words, was it a good night or a bad one?
