Kinda of a slow night last night.

Went to a class for a new monitor system we are implimenting in 30 days.

Came back down from it to walk into a 5yo MPC CPR in progress.

Most of the day shift (new interns) were worried about it.

I knew the kid was gunna be dead.

The interns wondered why.

I explained : 5yo child height = car bumper height.

Those tell me its gunna be a neck/face/head/chest collision and that, at most any speed, equals death in that age group.



God I hate when I am right.

Sorry to hear about your night and the events therein. I've said it before, but it bears repeating -- I admire your strength of character. I don't think many people could handle the things you see daily. You impress the heck out of me.

To think i worry about pitiful matters at my work that don't even involve injuries and there you are dealing with horrific tragedies day in and day out...my god you are a strong person...I'd be wrecked and a mess by the end of day one. Admirable..you are!

the only "gore" I have to deal with at work is other folks bad design decisions.... which mind you, sometimes they "can" get pretty grizzly.... but shit like what you describe? woogah...

You must have a iron-like disposition.. (that or a script for some great serotonin uptake inhibitors).
