on my way to work last night...

saw a drug deal happen in front of my car

very odd

I live so close to beauty and not far away is the trash

this morning 2 hours before end of shift we had to intubate a 4yo

not anything out of the ordinary for me.....except

he was the nicest child with perfect manners

repectful even as he was becoming more and more tired from breathing

we explained the procedure to him (putting the tube in his throat)

he handled it so well and with dignity, made everyone misty eyed

as he was going down with the sedation meds he told his parents he loved them...




...not a dry eye in the room
