I dont know how you can do it.

I would become too emotionally involved. I dont think I could harden my heart to the sorrow in the midst of a dying child. I'd lose it.

This is just the kind of thing that made me never seriously consider medicine. There are parts of it I would love, and would be very good at. But I'd spend too much time in tatters myself to really be effective.

I'm glad there are people like you who can do it, and yet still have the ability to care.
