my homepage has been reset

I can't get it undone

everytime I change it in the browser(IE) it doesn't last

Likely some spyware has changed it. Open RegEdit, go to

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main

and make sure that "Start Page" is set correctly.

And then get a spyware program like Spybot and see what it comes up with. http://www.spybot.info/

You can also try adaware http://www.lavasoft.de/software/adaware/ it's a free program. You can scan your computer and remove most spy ware and pop-up generators.
Also if you want a simple free firewall try Zone Alarm http://www.zonelabs.com/store/content/catalog/products/sku_list_za.jsp
It's a free version that works ok and will stop most unwanted traffic.
