WiFi on a PDA is a bit of a let down. It takes so much battery power that I'd just as soon carry around my notebook pc to actually make wireless useful. Hanging out on the couch IM'ing with your friends on your Palm doesn't work unless you plug into the wall.
Have you managed to piggy-back your Mac's net connection on your Zire? I cant seem to share the DSL connection my iBook's got? All I get are options to use my mobile for dial-up or the internal Apple modem on the iBook for dial-up.
The question is: What do you need one for? I have an old (2 years) Clié ® from Sony. I mainly use it for anything I can sync with my Outlook (Calendar, notes, e-mails). Takes time to get used to all functionalities. You get out of it what you put into it.
