Last night at work...

All the kids that came in last night:

• tried to drown
• burnt their body parts on firecrackers/BBQ grills
• broke any bone on trampolines
• Fell from a moving ATV and injured/broke/amputated any body part
• Fell from a moving boat and injured/broke/amputated any body part
or
• Poked themselves in the eye/face/chest with an object while running around like a chicken with its head cut off

Needless to say - we were busy...

ALSO I was speaking spanish to about 85% of our patients/families.

Ugh....I was starting to THINK in Spanish......whew!

Tonight is gonna be worse......its gonna be all the cough/cold/fever/congestion/asthma that didn't come in last night because they "didn't want to spoil their evening" last night...

I hate that.......emergency due to neglect...

*sigh*

Hope everyone had a good holiday that continues through the weekend...
