Swirling thoughts

I have tried several times these last few weeks to put meaniful thoughts typed down.

I need a log system like startrek. Verbal.

now all my posts seem to be blipverts. (can you name the source of that word *grin*)

now its beer bust time...

I've long thought the same thing. I'll find myself composing journal entries in my head or speaking some of it outloud while driving but never seem to get 1/7th of them onto the journal.

By the way, loved the Max Headroom reference! But now that I've read your entry.. I feel.. kinda..*bzzt* funny.. *bzzzt!*

Have you thought of voice recognition technologies like IBM ViaVoice 9?

I'm about to start evaluating it. Apparently if you're dedicated, it will recognise natural speech (after about six months - before then you have to say each word clearly)

Don't worry - it's functional within half an hour. I'm figuring the best way for next year (when I get an income!) is a notebook with ViaVoice, so I can report from anywhere, any place.

Well, that or an iPaq.

I actully tried "natural speaking" using dragon speaking systems and it sucked.

It also wouldn't/couldn't work in alot of programs.

You're right. Dragon sucks. Go with ViaVoice.
