I know exactly what you mean...no matter how many times I see or read something about 9-11-01 it always hurts.
When I see pictures it doesn't seem real, like some movie I watched one morning...then I see the big open space that once was the WTC and it registers. =(
Things like what happened on September 11... dont just dissapear. Some of had friends.. or family.. or just understand how badly this hurt a lot of people.
I had friends that worked there. 1 of my friends did not come out. I never actually met him..he was just an online friend.. but.. he just.. vanished.
I made an image.. commemorating that day... I hope this link works...
It was interesting..I posted this on an artist forum..and got flamed for it.. all these straight people saying I had no right to post gay imagery.. I was like.. "fuck you... there are more people out there then just YOU that lost family and friends."
Anyway.. I will always remember this day too.. (HUGs you gently)
I think it will haunt most of us for a very long time. being born in the fall, September-October was the best time of the year. Now, things will be very different.
